Mighty Mo Rodgers is an American blues legend. He is a recognized artist who has won many prestigious music awards in the US and Europe, a world class musician whose music is like a breath of fresh air in the Blues and R&B worlds.
His awards include the WC Handy Award (now known as The Blues Music Awards) for his album Blues Is My Wailin‘ Wall (1999) and a Living Blues magazine nomination for Contemporary Blues Album of the Year (2002) for Red White and Blues. Trophees France Blues declared him the best international artist for 2001 and 2002 and best composer (2003) and he also won the Chic De L‘Annee Blues Album of the Year in 2007.
Baba Sissoko not only the owner of a great voice and master of the West African Tamani drums, he’s also a mulit-instrumentalist who can play the ngoni, guitar, drums, balafon, kalabas, sildrum and kamalengoni. His exceptional sensibility to other musicians’ musical expression led him to collaborations with real world music stars like Salif Keita, Ibrahim Ferrer, Habib Koite, Youssou N'Dour, the Buena Vista Social Club and many others. Baba Sissoko belongs to a dynasty of Malian griot singers who possess and transmit archaic tradition.
Mighty Mo Rodgers and Baba Sissoko will perform together with the well-regarded Luca Giordano Band from Italy, a band who themselves have played with Nellie ‘Tiger’ Travis, J. W. Williams, Stevie Zee, Katherine Davis, Sax Gordon and Eric ‘Guitar’ Davis.
